Chairman of Factor CO2 and Industrial Engineer with 25 years of professional experience (the last fifteen in the environmental field). Javier Perez is also chairman of Cimas Innovación y Medio Ambiente and CMAE Group.
Javier Perea is supporting Factor CO2 with his experience, knowledge and management skills and promotes within the company a philosophy of transparency and total innovation.
Large part of his professional career was devoted to several responsibility positions in leading multinational consultancy companies. Throughout his career he has played a key role in the areas of advisory and consultancy services to many governments, administrations and companies on several topics regarding environment and climate change, mainly within the industrial field
Partner and General Director of Factor CO2, philosopher, economist, lawyer and Master in Environmental Management. He works as professor of Environmental Economics at the University of Navarra as well as in many postgraduate courses related with topics as Climate Change and Environmental Economy.
Convinced of the enormous importance of the climate change phenomenon, he took a leading role to create and regulate the European Greenhouse Gas Emissions Allowance Trading Scheme as well as to develop the development of the former public plans related to climate change in Spain, both in the aspects of mitigation and adaptation. He has also worked for very different business sectors in both the industrial sector as well as in the service sector. He has designed strategies and action plans on climate change.
Adviser for several international organizations. His professional activity is focused lately on the development of climate change policies in the area of economics and climate change as well as in the adaptation to climate change and the quantification of impacts. He has led the development of techno-economic emission projection models in different European countries. He believes in being a teacher and he still plays an important role in the areas of public awareness and information where he is required.
Executive Director of Factor CO2 Trading. Lawyer and economist, Master in Banking and Stock Exchange, Master in International Cooperation and currently PhD in Economics.
After being interested for several years in the field of international cooperation, he focused his efforts in the flexible mechanisms from the Kyoto Protocol, including the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Joint Implementation (JI) and carbon sinks. Currently he focuses his work on advising and brokering carbon markets both in Europe and world-wide. This area extends both to regulated markets -EU ETS, CDM and JI - as well as to voluntary markets.
He is a tireless advocate for carbon markets as a cost-efficient way of reducing emissions, an idea that stands out in numerous articles, publications and presentations on climate change and carbon markets.
Project Coordinator of Factor CO2 and responsible for the climate change policy area. She is environmental biologist and Master in Engineering and Environmental Management.
Her professional activity involves her especially in the areas of implementation of climate change mitigation and adaptation policies, in particular for public sector. She has advised major regional governments and other administrations in the development of inventories, projections and action plans on climate change issues.
Aware in her daily life of the smallest details, she never loses the opportunity to stir up sensitivities in the various presentations and specialized articles she has been responsible for.

She leads the European trade allowances of Factor CO2, having advised numerous regions and companies in the knowledge and application of this regulation.
She has specialized her work in the development of communication and awareness projects related to climate change, aimed at private companies as well as at government entities and media.
She likes to tell things in a simple and affordable way to escape the jargon. This style influences her articles and lectures.
Project Manager of Factor CO2. Chemical Engineer.
He is an essential technical support component of the organization, focusing his efforts on the development of inventories of greenhouse gases as well as on modelling and projecting scenarios at national, regional and local level. He has also taken part in several projects related to carbon footprints and Life Cycle Analysis (for products, services, organizations, events...).
He is the author of several articles and lectures specialized on climate change and renewable energy topics.

Her day to day is a combination of the development of climate change policies with awareness projects on this issue in public and private sectors. She has also worked in the area of adaptation to the phenomenon.
Previously she worked at the Institute for Sustainable Resources, where she took part in various Waste Management Plans. She also developed studies of environmental risk for KPMG Consulting and worked in the Department of Climate Change of Endesa.
Positive by nature, she tries to pass on this desire to change the world in the lectures that she develops, which are always linked to environmental issues.
Project Manager of Factor CO2. Biologist and Advanced Studies Diploma in Animal Biology and Genetics.
Her professional activity is mainly focused on the elaboration of carbon sinks inventories and on the official accounts of carbon removals. Besides, she also participates in the development of climate change mitigation policies. In these sectors she has taken part in the development of various strategies and action plans at both regional and local levels.
She is a vocational biologist and researcher, who loves nature and spreads her knowledge through her scientific articles and lectures.

An impeccable way of treating people is his identitive sign. He is responsible for coordinating the recruitment processes of Factor CO2. Besides, he participates actively in Factor CO2 Trading working as a chief financial officer.
