Factor CO2 was born from the common initiative created by a group of specialized professionals from the consultancy company CIMAS Innovación y Medio Ambiente as well as from the lawyer buffet MAS Abogados.

In 2008, Factor CO2 participated in the creation of the Group CMAE as a result of the collaboration of four firms involving a long history in the provision of specialized services: Factor CO2 in the field of climate change and carbon markets; CIMAS in the area of consultancy services for the environment and sustainability, DINAM in the fields of environmental infrastructures and contaminated soil, and finally, EDE INGENIEROS focusing on industrial and energy engineering services.

In the field of partnership, Factor CO2 has a long history collaborating and developing projects with other entities, especially on the field of international projects to reduce emissions, where has a large network of partners for joint development and consulting activities and for the marketing of carbon credits. Within the closest partnerships there can be highlighted a number of joint projects with Carbosur, also extended the scope of carbon sinks where Daniel Martin is a regular contributor to the organization.
