From its very first beginning, Factor CO2 has developed its activity with great focus on the development of the European emissions trading scheme. Assisting the competence entity fo several regions in several steps and procedures required by law has enabled us to develop many projects and services, among which highlight:

• Analysis of files, emission allowance applications and modifications of monitoring methodology, monitoring plans, assessment in granting permits , and application of criteria coming from the Committee for Climate Change Policy.
• Compliance: registry notifications, new entrants, plant closures, communication reports to the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, the European Commission, and balance reports.
• Capacity building for technicians in the administration.
• Assistance in the European emission trading scheme enlargement process regarding new sectors and gases.
