Flexible mechanisms have been a powerful incentive for the worldwide implementation of projects for emissions reduction or emissions removal by sinks. The existence of a global carbon market and a price allocated to each tonne of CO2 has led to tireless effort to find innovative solutions to mitigate emissions.
Factor CO2 has successfully developed a wide range of initiatives in four continents within the field of flexible mechanisms, from development and project management of Clean Development Mechanism and Joint Implementation to domestic emissions reductions projects and, in particular , tools and solutions related to carbon sinks. Other important services regard structuring green investment schemes for payments related to international emission rights trading.
