From the very first moment we started our activity, Factor CO2 has played a significant role in developing strategies and action plans on climate change. We have actively worked for various state-, regional- and local-level administrations.
Among other projects and services developed, we highlight the following:
- Action plans and strategies on climate change. In most cases these strategies integrate mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
- Emission projections based on the IFO CO2 model.
- Dashboards and indicators for monitoring action plans and strategies to detect deviations.
- Maps of climate change impacts and vulnerability diagnostics.
- Inventories based on the IPCC methodology or equivalent. We have developed a specific methodology for calculating emissions on municipal entities based on different levels of information (tiers).
- Carbon footprints for different organizations, tailored made to the project goals. For small organizations linked to the central governments, we have the SSERT tool available.
- Life cycle analysis of products with the support of the SIMAPRO program.
- Benchmarking of mitigation/adaptation measures as well as effective solutions implementation, including cost-effectiveness analysis and baseline studies.
- Dynamisation of sectorial working groups and participatory processes both internal and external to the organization.
