Since 2005, more than 10,000 European installations have been regulated by the European Emission Trading Scheme (ETS), which remains the most important scheme in the world.

Factor CO₂ Trading, received the “2011 Carbon Market Award” at the prestigious World Finance Awards, recognized as the leading intermediary in Spain and Italy. Furthermore, it has traded emissions in thirteen countries, operating over 5 million units (EUA, CER, ERU, EUAA, CER GS and other carbon assets) in the European market, since 2005.

Additionally, we have offset the carbon footprint of more than 10 of our institutional and corporate clients through the voluntary markets (VCU, CER GS).

Factor CO₂ Trading has also developed ‘Smart Trading’, a tool used to manage the three variables that determine the exposure to CO₂ in an installation under the European emissions trading scheme: its CO₂ emissions, its emission allowances and CO₂ prices. Smart Trading provides European industrial sectors with necessary information to make the best decisions on CO₂ management in the short and long terms.
