Factor - Ideas for change celebrates its 15th anniversary

Yesterday, Thursday 28 March 2019, Factor celebrated its 15th anniversary with an event in Bilbao, dedicated to commemorate the history of the organization and highlight its vision for the future. The event was attended by Sonia Castañeda, Director of the Biodiversity Foundation, and Xabier Caño, President of ACLIMA, to share with the attendees experiences and their vision of the world of sustainability.

The entire organization was present at the celebration, as well as numerous clients and friends. Kepa Solaun, Partner and Managing Director of Factor, made a brief presentation on the activity currently carried out by the organization in its different fields of action such as adaptation and mitigation to climate change, carbon footprint, energy, sustainability, climate finance and circular economy, among others, and the vision for the future of the same.

Factor for the future

After these 15 years of activity, Factor looks to the near future with enthusiasm and initiative, with the main objectives of continuing the process of international expansion and increasing its activity in key areas such as climate finance and the transition to a low-carbon economy. Currently, the organization encompasses different areas of action, through its areas and associates: Factor CO2, Factor Trading, Factor Energy, Factor Global, Meteoclim and Metroeconomica.

More than 1,700 projects, in more than 40 countries, for governments and international organizations as well as for more than 400 companies, define these 15 years as years of great achievements for Factor. For its part, Factor Trading has developed operations for more than 500 million euros in transactions in energy and carbon markets.

With its own offices in Madrid, Bilbao, Palma de Mallorca, Berlin, Milan, Mexico City, Bangkok and Quito, Factor offers a wide range of services, having become a multidisciplinary team of professionals and widely recognized as a reference in various fields, and whose working method is based on offering specialized knowledge, with a deep customer vision and under a global approach.

The objective of Factor is to continue reaching new markets and regions to help change the paradigm in terms of climate change and fulfill its mission to develop and undertake projects that contribute to mitigation and adaptation to climate change on a global scale.

As an intrinsic part of its raison d'être, emissions from Factor's fifteenth anniversary event will be offset, thus boosting the financing of environmentally sustainable projects in developing countries.
