This Monday, November 27, the Factor team, represented by Iker Larrea and Iria Flavia Peñalva, will give the information day: "The reform of the EU ETS Directive (2021-2030) and CO2 management in 2017", along with the General Directorate of Environment of the Government of Cantabria, at the headquarters of CEOE-CEPYME Cantabria, in Santander.
From CEOE-CEPYME Cantabria, within the framework of existing collaboration with the General Directorate of Environment of the Government of Cantabria, and with the collaboration of Factor CO2, this information day is designed for all facilities affected by the rules of trade of emission rights, with the objective of informing on the allowances and making visible the challenges and opportunities associated with the management of CO2, paying special attention to:
- Modifications to free assignments (cessation of activity, reductions and / or capacity expansions,...).
- Possible developments in the reform of the European Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) for the next application period (2021-2030).
The information day is directed to environmental managers, financial managers and company managers.
Berta González Arreba, Chief of the Pollution Prevention and Control Service and José Antonio Fernández Ferreras, Head of the Pollution Control Section, of the Ministry of Universities and Research, Environment and Social Policy of the Government of Cantabria, will carry out the presentation of the day.
During the information day, Factor's team will detail the state of negotiations for the regulation of the European Emissions Trading System in 2021-2030, the new challenges presented to the sector to comply with the new regulations, as well as the impact which is expected to have this new regulation on the European CO2 market (free allocations, auctions, US supply and demand balances ...).
Another important issue that will be discussed during the information day is the management of CO2 in 2017, both in terms of regulation and in terms of its economic/financial component (aid for compensation of costs of indirect emissions, optimal management of the deficit on emission rights, etc.).
Since 2004, Factor CO2 has offered technical consulting and market services to governments and international organizations, as well as more than 400 companies.
