Factor CO2 presents the Action Plan of the Index of Vulnerability to Climate Change in São Paulo

Yesterday, Kepa Solaun, Partner and CEO of Factor CO2, participated in the workshop on the ndex of vulnerability to climate change in the Metropolitan Area of the Western Region of São Paulo and its Action Plan.

The objective of the workshop was to present and contrast the results obtained from the developed vulnerability index, as well as the adaptation measures to climate change proposed for its implementation by the municipalities of the region.

This workshop is part of the project that seeks to respond to and prepare the Metropolitan Area of the Western Region São Paulo (Brazil) for the expected impacts of climate change, promoted by the Latin American Development Bank (CAF).

In this context, the project aims to define measures to adapt to climate change in the Metropolitan Area of the Western Region of São Paulo, based on a vulnerability analysis by zones, which will increase the resilience of the region climate change. On this approach, the existing opportunities of climate financing have also been analyzed to facilitate the development of the measures contemplated in the Action Plan.

Factor CO2 will also contribute to the transfer of knowledge and training of local actors involved in the implementation of the climate action plan, in order to ensure their involvement and promote their membership in the project.
