Factor CO2 presents the results of the project: Tending EACCEL Entities in the Calculation of their Carbon Footprint, in Zaragoza
09 January 2018 | Mitigation
As part of the project “Tending EACCEL Entities in the Calculation of their Carbon Footprint", carried out by Factor CO2, today January 10, 2018 the results are presented with the participating companies in the Community of Aragon. The event will be attended by Eduardo González Fernandez who, on behalf of the Spanish Office of Climate Change (OECC), will present the diplomas accrediting the carbon footprint registration, offset and absorption projects to the participating companies that have completed the process.
The Aragonese Strategy for Climate Change and Clean Energies (EACCEL) is a proposal of the Government of Aragon that addresses the general references that place climate change in the specific context of Aragon. The EACCEL is conceived as a dynamic process, to the extent that companies and entities have adhered to it through their own Action Plans. At this time, the General Directorate of Sustainability considered it opportune that, in a voluntary framework, the commitment of the entities adhering to EACCEL, and of all interested entities, be extended to the calculation of the carbon footprint and its reduction. There were 32 companies that signed up for the project and it's time to present the results.
Joaquín Olona Blasco, Regional Minister of Rural Development and Sustainability of the Government of Aragon, will present the information day that will also include the intervention of the Climate Change and Environmental Education Service to contextualize the project.
During the information day Asier Sopelana, partner and project manager of Factor CO2, will present the results of work in the project for the tending of EACCEL Entities in the calculation of their carbon footprint. Finally, the presentation of the experiences obtained throughout the project of three participating Aragonese companies will be presented.
