Factor Energy attends the eighth session of the IRENA Assembly in Abu Dhabi

On January 12, 13 and 14, 2018, Hugo Lucas, Head of ??Factor Energy and CEO of Factor Germany, will attend for the third year in a row the eighth session of the IRENA Assembly in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

More than 1,100 people from government delegations from more than 150 countries will take part in the IRENA Assembly, as well as the main actors in the civil society sector and the private sector.

This Assembly will deliberate on the progress of IRENA in the Work Program and Budget for 2016-2017, and decide on the new strategic direction in the context of the Work Program and Budget for 2018-2019 and the Medium-Term Strategy 2018-2022.

The ministerial discussion tables will be devoted to debate on: concrete ways to accelerate investment in renewable energy and explore innovations and synergies between the electrification of the transport sector and renewable energy.

In addition, programmatic debates will be held on a variety of topics such as policies on renewable energy, geothermal energy, the expansion of photovoltaic solar energy, bioenergy for sustainable development and renewable energy in the context of sustainable development and the application of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) to the Paris Agreement.
