Factor Energy participates in the international information day FIDES: Sustainable Energy Development and the Role of Renewable Energies

Today, Friday, December 1, 2017, the Factor team will make a presentation at the II FIDES International Information Day: "Sustainable Energy Development and the Role of Renewable Energies".

The information day of the Ibero-American Forum of Energy and Sustainable Development (FIDES, for its acronym in Spanish), is organized by the Argentine Institute of Technical and Social Studies of Energy, (IAETES), The Spanish Energy Club, (ENERCLUB) with the institutional sponsorship of the Argentine Committee of the Regional Energy Integration Commission (CACIER), the Association of Electrical Energy Distributors of the Republic (ADEERA) and the COGE Foundation of Brazil.

During the information day, Hugo Lucas, Head of Factor Energy and CEO of Factor Germany, will have an intervention to present the results of two analyzes carried out in the last year.

The first analysis, entitled "Analysis of auctions of electricity from renewable energy sources in Latin America and the Caribbean", was developed within the framework of the activities of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the promotion of clean technologies.


Additionally, the analysis developed for REN21 will be presented, entitled: "Renewable Energy Tenders and Community [em]Power[ment]", which presents the reasons why tenders exclude community projects and proposes a solution, to support them, articulated in three pillars: medium and long-term goals; secured power purchase agreements and the creation of an a community power authority which oversees and supports the renewable energy projects in these communities.
