Factor Energy participates in the MOUSTDAMA project in Palestine

16 April 2019 | Markets

From April 7 to 17, the Factor team, represented by Craig Menzies, Head of Factor Energy, is on mission in Palestine for the presentation of the MOUSTDAMA project.

The MOUSTDAMA project, of the Commission's Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development, analyses the current situation of the renewable energy, energy efficiency and other clean technologies sectors in the West Bank and Gaza Strip regions of Palestine.

The main objective of the project, in which Craig Menzies participates as an expert in energy policy, is to assess opportunities for increasing the use of renewable energies, energy efficiency systems and clean technologies in industrial enterprises (small-medium scale). The project evaluates the business models for investing in these systems, and the options for establishing a network of centers for entrepreneurs in these sectors.

Taking into account the range of obstacles to the establishment of a clean technology sector in Palestine - including those of a political, financial-economic and regulatory nature - the project seeks to boost the investments of industrial sector actors in these technologies and systems through the recommendation of various strategic interventions.
