Factor has been invited to present its latest report on renewable energy tenders in MEXIREC 2017

Next Wednesday, September 13, Factor will present the report entitled "Renewable Energy Tenders and Community [em]Power[ment]" at the International Conference on Renewable Energies (MEXIREC 2017), which will be held from 11-13  September in Mexico City, within the framework of the Strategic Dialogues on the Future of Energy (DEMEX).

The International Renewable Energy Conference (IREC) is a high-level reference event for the promotion of renewable energy worldwide, organized by the host governments together with the Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st century (REN21).

IREC is the most important event in the sector, and the choice of headquarters is based on the support of the main emerging markets, that is, the most promising at that time, are selected. The ambitious energy reform carried out by Mexico has served the capital to join Bonn (2004), Beijing (2005), Washington (2008), Delhi (2010), Abu Dhabi (20013) and South Africa (2015) as IREC headquarters.

Hugo Lucas, Head of Factor Energy, will officially present the report " Renewable Energy Tenders and Community [em]Power[ment]" to an audience conformed by government ministers, high-level decision-makers, experts, specialists and thought leaders, as well as private sector actors and civil society.

The completion of this report positions Factor as the leader in the analysis and design of renewable energy tenders (also called auctions).

In the last year, Factor has provided technical assistance in the design and implementation of auction systems for the promotion of renewable energy sources in the Philippines, Nigeria, Mali and Madagascar.

Additionally, Factor has just concluded the "Analysis of auctions of electricity from renewable energy sources in Latin America and the Caribbean", within the framework of the activities of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the promotion of clean technologies.
