Factor participates in the event: Keys to energy sustainability

This week, the team of Factor represented by Kepa Solaun, Partner and CEO, and Eric Bernard, Corporate Trader, participated in the event: "Keys to energy sustainability" which is taking place from June 19th to 21st, in the city of Madrid.

The objective of the event, organized by the Master in Renewable Energies and Environment (ERMA) of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), the Technical School of Engineering and Industrial Design, and the Casa Encendida of the Monte Madrid Foundation, is to analyze the key aspects for renewable energies to approach the objective of energy sustainability.

The event, coordinated by Julio Amador Guerra, director of the Master's ERMA of the UPM, focuses on three thematic blocks:

  • Climate change challenges for energy.
  • Renewable waste?
  • Regulation of self-consumption.

Kepa Solaun's participation consisted of a presentation entitled: "Physical impacts of climate change on the energy sector and renewable generation", in which an analysis of the physical impacts that climate change can have on the energy sector was presented, with special emphasis on renewable energies.

In addition, Eric Bernard made a presentation entitled: "The European market of emission allowances" in which the functioning of the emission allowances market was analyzed through its history and most relevant milestones, as well as the sectors affected and their consequences.
