Within the project's framework, a Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) methodology will be developed for Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) in Mexico and Chile. Additionally, the most relevant stakeholders will receive support in its future implementation.

In this context, a MRV system proposal has been presented for both countries, Mexico and Chile.  In addition, each MRV system proposal has been validated with the assessment and monitoring practices that exist in each country for the selected NAMA.

The project includes the selection of the high-priority NAMAs, the development and application of a MRV readiness test (feasibility assessment) as well as designing a generic MRV and a specific MRV, based on the MRV tools or systems already existing within each country.

Also, the capability and knowledge of NAMA executors and partners is reinforced for the implementation of MRV systems.
