Factor will participate in the “Mid-term evaluation of the Lazos de Agua Program” project, implemented thanks to the collaboration between One Drop TM, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), The Coca-Cola Foundation and the FEMSA Foundation. This program promotes access to good quality drinking water for around 200,000 people in the countries of Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua and Paraguay by 2021.

The execution of this project is carried out through the implementation of improvements in sanitation and hygiene processes under a social resilience approach. To have a long-term impact on the region, in the first phase of the project, the program reinforced leadership and encouraged investment with financial resources of governments and local communities, while supporting the processes of water management and sanitation. The program also influenced government policies and programs to adopt a focus on behavior change and broaden the intervention methodology throughout the region.

For the second phase of the project, Factor together with Hydroconseil will carry out the mid-term evaluation that will provide the key information regarding the strategic decision and its feasibility. Moreover, the evaluation also provides information to create a direct committee that identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the Program. In addition, to evaluate the modification and efficient cost of the program's model and compare it with other programs. This in order to formulate concrete strategies and operational recommendations to be analyzed by the steering committee.

The evaluation stage was developed on September 30 through field visits and generating spaces for dialogue with the actors involved in the execution of the first stage of the Program. The Factor team, represented by Dayana Vega, Senior Consultant, and a team of local experts composed of Marisa Díaz and Marisol Sánchez, will be participating in the evaluation in Mexico, Guatemala and Paraguay.

Factor has 15 years of experience offering technical consulting services in the areas of adaptation and mitigation to climate change, climate finance, carbon footprint, sustainability, circular economy, among others, both for governments and international organizations, and for more than 400 Business.
